This is a space for you to talk freely and safely about things that are on your mind.

One-to-One Counselling sessions

One-to-One Counselling sessions at Newham Nurture provide a space for clients to speak about and explore anything that prevents them from feeling ok in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space. We believe that the process of Counselling is a journey which allows people to find clarity in their thoughts, feelings and life experiences. Sessions are with a qualified, registered Counsellor and take place weekly at an agreed day/time. An initial six sessions are offered with an extension if required.

Interpreters are available and creche provided for each session.

Art with Heart Sessions

These sessions are a new offering from Newham Nurture after a successful taster session! These creative sessions allow mums to connect, create and communicate with each other through the medium of art. The sessions are not about becoming an artist but about increasing focus, concentration, mindfulness, being present and self-expression. Creating and finishing an activity also allows for a sense of accomplishment which can be a boost to confidence. Some of the creative activities available include: knitting, sewing, painting, cross stitch, diamond art, rock painting and many more. The session is specifically for mums to have a bit of space and time away from their babies to do something for themselves.

Crèche provided. Sessions are held in Plaistow.

Introduction to Counselling

This is a 6 week introduction to counselling which will take place weekly in Plaistow. The sessions will be group based with a maximum of 8 who will be expected to attend all sessions. The sessions will provide an overview of Counselling; what Counselling is/isn’t, cultural attitudes towards counselling, emotional wellbeing and self-care – are just some of the topics that will be covered. Participants will also learn tools to help themselves. The sessions aim to be interactive, educational and informative. Group sessions bring a different dynamic to One-to-One sessions; they can be very powerful and supportive. We aim to create a safe space where experiences can be shared and support can be provided.

Crèche provided.
