The Amber Valley branch of the NCT produces a quarterly newsletter with a circulation of around 200 copies. It is distributed free to all local NCT members and is also available at local NCT events such as coffee mornings, drop-in sessions and nearly new sales.

As well as topical articles, the newsletter also aims to include information on local activities for parents and carers of young children.

We are always looking for contributions and would welcome contact if you have an article which you think is suitable to be included. Ideas include:
• Birth stories
• Recipes
• Recommendations on places to visit
• Breastfeeding experiences

Advertising

In addition to being distributed to members, the newsletter is also delivered to various healthcare professionals, local surgeries, libraries and playcentres. It is valued as a source of local information by many new parents, including those new to the area.

The cost of advertising compares favourably with other local forms of advertising, particularly as it is so well targeted to expectant parents and those with young children.

Currently the newsletter is digitally printed in black and white with approximately 44 pages on A5.

Adverts can be accepted via email as a graphics file or pdf or they can be created for you for an additional fee. It is also possible to include inserts in the newsletter.
