Parent Support Coordinator
This interesting and varied role involves face to face contact with parents during their antenatal classes, giving a brief overview of the postnatal services and support available in Basingstoke. To accompany this you would need to compile postnatal information packs for each couple. The role also includes sending and receiving emails to and from parents, volunteers and antenatal teachers.
It's estimated that you would need to to be able to volunteer roughly 1 hour a week of your own time and if possible attend branch meetings held once a month.
This volunteer post is an ideal way to meet many new parents and is a key role within this branch.

Newsletter Team member
Following a number of resignations our newsletter team has been left short of personnel. If you have a few hours to give once a quarter then they would be glad of your help.

Coffee & Chat - General Volunteers
We are always in need of friendly volunteers to help us run our popular Coffee & Chat session every Friday. No regular commitment necessary, just let us know when you can help out on dates to suit you.

Area Reps
No coffee mornings in your area? Maybe you can help create a thriving community of Mums & Dads helping each other. Areas currently without a rep are: Tadley, Brighton Hill, Kempshott & Whitchurch. Or if you are just happy to deliver newsletters in your area, then please do get in touch. Without area reps we are missing out on important opportunities to reach out to new parents at the most important time for them.

Grant Applications
We need someone who can give us some admin time to write up grant applications to funding bodies in order to help us with Specialist Worker training. This is particularly important for us as we continue to be blessed with lots of lovely people wanting to train as Antenatal Teachers and Breastfeeding Counsellors.

If anyone is interested in taking on this role then Diane would be pleased to hear from you. She feels that this is an under utilised service and could do with an injection of enthusiasm to get things going.
