Get Involved

Volunteers, parents and expectant parents just like you, run our branch. You don’t need to take on huge tasks, just commit whatever time you can or your previous experience and skills. It is a great way to learn new skills, make new friends, and represent NCT. We are always looking for people who might be interested in helping out at a particular event or baking a cake so do please get in touch.
We currently have a vacancy for an advertising co-ordinator.
The advertising co-ordinator helps us raise funds by contacting local businesses and sourcing new advertisers for the branch newsletter and Nearly New Sale. As Advertising Coordinator, you will:
  • Sell advertising, from newsletter and web advertising to Nearly New Sales advertising
  • Maintain relationships with current advertisers and prospect potential advertisers
  • Work closely with the Newsletter Editor, the Advertising Administrator and the Treasurer to help make each activity or publication profitable
  • Attend regular branch meetings and write short reports on advertising activities
  • Work with activity organisers to ensure that advertising is appropriate and do not impinge on the primary charitable purpose of the branch
  • Maintain the advertising contact database using Excel and the advertising spreadsheet
  • Ensure that invoices raised and monies received from advertisers
  • Liaise with other NCT branches to ensure that advertising rates are competitive (your regional team may be able to help you with this)
