Coffee Groups

The Caterham & Oxted NCT branch is pleased to announce that we are now running New Mums’ Coffee Groups. Whether you are a first time mum or already have other children, these groups are a lovely way to meet other expectant or new mums with babies of similar ages, in a small, friendly and relaxed environment. Many mums have found that they have formed a fantastic support network of friends with babies/children of similar ages by attending these groups, and these friendships often last for many years.

The coffee groups are initially held at an NCT volunteer’s house, and then after one to three sessions, mums generally find they are ready to keep meeting “under their own steam”. We try to form the groups with mums with similar due dates (within 3-6 weeks), living locally, and not necessarily just to replicate your antenatal class group, whom we hope you will already be socialising with! Your group may start when you are still expecting, or when you have a newborn baby – certainly at a time when you are likely to feel the need for friendship and support with others going through the same life changes.

If you have a newborn baby or are pregnant, and you would like to be invited to join one of these groups, please contact our Parent Support Co-ordinator, Emma ParentSupport@caterhamandoxtednct.co.uk
