Our hugely successful nearly new sales are currently held 3 times a year. This is the main way we raise funds for the branch. Our great venue - Bishops High School - provides plenty of space so you're sure to find a bargain.

At the nearly new sales you can buy;

• Children's clothes (0-5)
• Nursery equipment - including cots, highchairs, moses baskets and much more 
• Prams and buggies 
• Toys - for inside & out 
• Children's books and DVDs 
• Maternity clothes 
• Books related to pregnancy and childcare

Our next Nearly New Sale will be held on Saturday 21st July at Bishops High School. More information will be available May/June 2012.

The sales open 30 minutes early for members. You must bring proof of membership - either your current membership card or proof of recent payment. Each person entering early must have a membership card so I'm afraid that friends and relatives without membership will be asked to wait until 12 noon to enter. This is strictly enforced as early entry is a benefit for members, so please do remember to bring the proof. If you do not have either of these, please email nctchester@yahoo.co.uk at least 2 days in advance. We will then check the membership database and send you an email confirming early entrance entitlement which you should print and bring with you. The sale then opens 30 minutes later for non members. Entrance is £1 per person. Children are admitted free.

The sales are very popular and parking is limited. Please park considerately bearing in mind that a lot of our customers will have prams. We accept cash or cheque (with guarantee card) as forms of payment. To speed up time at the tills, it would be appreciated if you please write your name, address and cheque guarantee card details on the back of the cheque before the sale. To pay by cheque you must bring along your cheque guarantee card. If you no longer have a cheque guarantee card please bring proof of ID such as driving licence with your address.

All of the profits from NCT Nearly New Sales go towards helping to support new and expectant parents and this season we hope to raise in excess of £400,000 across the UK. Reaching such a target would allow us to subsidise antenatal courses for 2,500 expectant parents on low income, or train 80 Postnatal Leaders or to take 235,000 calls on the NCT Breastfeeding Line.
