Volunteers, parents and expectant parents just like you, run our branch.  You don’t need to take on huge tasks, just commit whatever time you can or your previous experience and skills.  It is a great way to learn new skills, make new friends, and represent the NCT.

We currently have vacancies for:

Fundraising and social event coordinators - are you a good organiser and enjoy socialising? Join our team of event organisers and raise money for your favourite charity. Role includes coming up with ideas, planning and managing events. Time commitment: 2 hours per week, flexible.

Nearly New Sale coordinators - enjoy shopping? Join our Nearly New Sales team and help with planning, promoting & running our ever popular sales. Time commitment: upto 3 sales a year.

Postnatal tea hosts - join our team of volunteer postnatal tea hosts who hold monthly teas for new and second-time mums. The teas are informal get togethers which are invaluable in allowing new mums to meet other mums in their area. Time commitment: 2-4hrs per month and teas can be organised at your convenience.  We urgently need tea hosts in Battersea, Abbeville.

Breastfeeding cafe helpers - we are looking to add to our team of volunteers who help out at our breastfeeding drop-in.  The role is essentially about meeting & greeting mums attending the drop-in, serving refreshments, taking bookings for breastfeeding counsellor consultations and venue set-up & tidy up.  Time commitment: one session a month on a Monday between 10am & 12noon.

Magazine Delivery Coordinator – we have a vacancy for someone handy with MS excel, who has a car & printer and can commit to coordinating the quarterly magazine delivery in months of September, December, March & June.  In the month before delivery, you will generate the delivery rounds, prepare envelopes & labels, and organise magazine stuffing evening.  Once the magazine has been received from the printer, you will oversee stuffing evening and coordinate delivery of magazine rounds to team of deliverers.  Time commitment: 10 hours month before delivery and 10 hours once magazine received from printer. 

Publicity designer - a great opportunity to unleash your creative spirit! We need a person with some design skills to create branch publicity items e.g. posters, flyers. Time commitment: ad hoc as publicity is required.

Antenatal class supporters - we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to visit antenatal classes, to give prospective parents a brief introduction to the branch activities.  Time commitment: two hours (two class visits) a month.
