Anyone can become a member of the NCT. It is a charity whose aim is to offer information and support to all parents. Your membership will help support the charity so that even more parents will benefit from our information, support and campaigning.

As a member you can be involved as much or as little as you like, but just by being a member you will automatically receive NCT Croydon's quarterly newsletter 'BABYtalk' including a branch diary of events, have opportunities to make friends with other mums and dads in your area, get all the help and information you need for life as a parent, keep up to date with our magazines packed with practical ideas for your family, early entry to NCT Nearly New Sales, enjoy exclusive discounts at NCT Shop, www.nctshop.co.uk, be part of our work to make society more parent friendly, and free access to NCT house swap register.

At our events you are welcome to breastfeed when you want. We are also happy to provide hot water to heat baby bottles or food as required.

Cost of Membership

The first year membership fee is £40. Second and subsequent years £40 (If during the first 12 or 18 months of membership you officially register as a volunteer doing a minimum of 12 hours volunteering for the branch per annum the annual renewal membership fee is reduced to £26 making a saving of £14)

There is also a 18 month membership option available at £48 payable as a single sum or 6 direct debit payments of £8. 

Discounts are applicable if you join for 4 years in advance. This type of 4 year membership currently costs £100 (a saving of £60).

There is also a reduced subscription of £10 available for those eligible individuals receiving Employment Support Allowance or tax credits (excluding child tax credit alone).

All methods of payment allow you to use Gift Aid if you are a UK tax payer. If you're not a taxpayer but your partner is, they can be a joint member with you (there's no extra cost for this), and be the one who pays the membership fee and select to give Gift Aid. So long as the person paying the membership is a UK taxpayer, then for every £1 you give the NCT can claim an extra 25p from the taxman.
