We are in need of volunteers for events and roles on the committee, Any time that you can spare will be valued hugely.

We have a few volunteer roles at the moment, it would be great to bring some fresh prospectives to the committee.

Middlemore set up and put away -

We are looking for general volunteers to help set up and put things away at Middlemore's Mums'n'Tots.  It would be great if anyone can give us a hand.  We normally start setting up about 9:30am and then straightening the room back up about 11:15am.

Publicity Officer -

Being the branch press and publicity officer can be great fun - and if you follow some very simple guidelines it needn't take up too much time and can be very effective in raising the profile of the NCT.

The job of the branch press officer is to get as much free publicity for the branch and the NCT as possible, in the local paper, or on local radio or television. The power of local media is sometimes undervalued. Did you know that 87% of people in the UK read their local paper? Or that 70% listen to their local radio station?

To be a press officer all you need is an outgoing personality, the ability to talk openly and persuasively, a really good knowledge of what the NCT does, and a good contact book containing the telephone numbers of branch volunteers who can talk about specific subjects. Funraising coodinater -

As well as being a hugely rewarding experience personally, as Branch Fundraising Co-ordinator you can inspire you branch team and play a part in supporting millions of parents every year.

A fundraising co-ordinator will:

• Help the branch to raise as much money as possible for local NCT services to parents and the wider work of the charity
• be a positive, motivational organiser and delegator
• Have an overview of all the branch's income, from grants, events & commercial support
