Whether your are expecting, deciding on your type of birth, are new parents  or adding to your growing family, we have courses and groups to support you.  We also run several events throughout the year and publish a quarterly newsletter.  The branch is run entirely by volunteers, all of whom are parents living in the local area.

Pregnancy
For expectant parents we run antenatal courses and refreshers courses.  We also facilitate social groups for parents with babies due in the same month and/or those expecting twins or multiples.  We also offer information on where to get suitable maternity bras locally.

Birth
We run a home birth support group which meets on a monthly basis.  We also offer advice on hiring TENS machines and finding a labour friendly taxi company.

New Parents
Our monthly yahoo groups and postnatal tea groups offer new parents an opportunity to socialise and share their experiences.  Advice and support is also available via the NCT Postnatal Line and Early Days Course.  In addition we offer information and help on breastfeeding, hiring a breast pump or valley cushion and what to do if you are feeling low.

Toddlers and Growing families
We have groups for those not returning to work after maternity leave and those expecting their second or third child.  We also provide links to websites that provide information on organising childcare.

For All Parents
We have regular branch events, including our popular bi-annual Nearly New Sales.  We also publish a quarterly branch newsletter, which is mailed to our members.

Getting Involved
Our branch is run solely by volunteers and we are always looking for parents who are able to use their talents and a little of their time to help us to continue to ensure that local families have access to the valuable resources offered by the NCT.
