Breastfeeding In Public Places

By law, you are free to breast feed in ALL public places. This includes shops, pubs, restaurants and hotels (regardless of how big or small), areas such as parks, sports and leisure facilities, public buildings and when using public transport such as buses, trains and planes. You are also protected in places like hospitals, theatres, cinemas and petrol stations.

Where can I be fitted for a nursing bra?

Being correctly fiited for a bra is more important when intending to breast feed than at any other time in your life. Continuing to wear a poorly fitted bra or a non-nursing bra can be more than uncomfortable; it can affect your supply. In Halstead & Sudbury we offer this as a free service carried out by own specially trained Bra Fitter. What other services do you offer?

Breastfeeding is the most natural thing in the world and you may need nothing more than yourself, however we have a selection of items that you may choose to use.

NCT offers hospital grade pumps from the Ameda and Medela range. Our NCT volunteer agents are trained to provide information on how to use the products. So, if you need a pump, whether you are returning to work or for any other reason, and would like to continue providing your baby with the benefits of breast milk, why not consider hiring a pump from the NCT.
