Breastfeeding Peer Supporters and Baby Cafe Local launched!

We used funds raised to run our first breastfeeding peer support course which finished in December 2011 and our local community will now benefit from 12 trained volunteers from January 2012.

All pregnant or breastfeeding mums are welcome to drop into one of our sessions.  It will be held each Thursday at the Harpenden Children's Centre from 10am. Help from our peer supporters is available on all aspects of breastfeeding and its impact on daily life.

The Baby Cafe Local will be led by an NCT breastfeeding counsellor. The room will be set out with comfy seating, toys for siblings and we hope that it will be a relaxed environment for everyone.

All of the services and support groups offered by NCT Harpenden are run by volunteers and paid for with local fundraising efforts .  If  you would like to support any of the activities through a monetary contribution please do so through our JustGiving page!

Successful application for grant funding:
