Breastfeeding is the most natural thing in the world, but there are occasions when a mother wants to express her breastmilk, for example, if she is returning to work.

The Ameda breastpumps offer the choice of single or dual pumping. They also offer quick, effective and practical pumping. It is hospital grade and available to hire or purchase through the NCT.  Some mothers may have used the pumps in hospital.

Ameda
There are two pumps to choose from:

• Elite Electric Breast pump (this is the Breast pump used in Northwick Park Hospital)
• SMB Electric Breast pump

Rent an electric breast pump from the NCT for as little as:

• £1.20 per day (excluding collection set £10 for 1 or £16 for 2) minimum hire of 7 days
• £44 for the first 30 days (includes 1 personal milk collection kit) or £48.00 for the first 30 days (includes 2 personal milk collection kits).
• £26 for an additional 30 days
• Additional personal milk collection set costs £6
• One handed conversion kit £5.75 (for manual pumping)

The NCT operates a Breastfeeding Line which is run by volunteer, NCT Trained Breastfeeding Counsellors. They offer help, support, guidance and a sympathetic ear. The line is open between 8am and 10pm every day. Call 0300 330 0771.
