Volunteering

Volunteers - parents and expectant parents just like you, help run our branch. We are always looking for new faces to get involved with the branch at many different levels.

You don’t need to take on huge tasks, just commit whatever time you can to help. No particular skills or knowledge are required just bags of enthusiasm and a willingness to muck in. It is a great way to learn new skills, make new friends, and give something back to the NCT.

We'd like to hold a Teddy Bears' Picnic in July instead of our usual Cheeky Monkey's Party. We currently have no events manager or events team for the Hertford, Ware & District Branch. Can you help to plan and run this event for the branch? We have a super venue provisionally booked but without a team to organise the picnic, we will have to cancel this fundraiser this year. No experience is required - just good ideas and enthusiasm! Contact ncthertfordware@googlemail.com if you can help.

Positions we are currently looking for:

Branch Chair/Co-ordinator

An important role bringing together the whole branch. You will be the main contact for head office and all general enquiries. Attending committee meetings (evenings every two months) is essential, as well as being able to attend many of the branch events. If you have any spare time to help co-ordinate, lead and motivate, the branch needs you...

Events Team

We're looking for volunteers to form a team to help organise our parties and social events. We'd like enthusiastic volunteers to help us organise entertainment, activities and refreshments for these local events.

Advertising Co-ordinator

Come join our fun committee and help us connect with the local community and work with the events team to ensure that news of our events reaches everyone.

Answer Machine Co-ordinator

Could you find up to an hour each month to monitor our phone lines (message recordings sent by email) and pass on messages to the relevant team member?
