Held twice yearly (usually April and October) these are a fantastic opportunity to buy, good as new, secondhand toys, clothes, equipment and maternity wear. Our next Sale will be in October 2012.

How do I register to be a seller?

To register for selling at this sale, please complete the registration form. It will be open closer to the time of the sale. You must be registered in order to sell, there is a seller's fee of £5 and NCT will take 30% of any money taken.

How do I register to be a volunteer?

To ensure the success and smooth running of the sale, we would really appreciate it if you would be able to help us out during any of the time periods listed on the volunteer registration form. We ask you to give two to three hours of your time in return for shopping at the 'pre-sale sort' before the sale. The volunteer form will be available closer to the time. If you are a seller your seller fee will be refunded back to you.

Outcome of our last sale

Our last Nearly New Sale on 15 October 2011 was really successful. Presdales School in Ware was a great venue - it was a big hit with shoppers and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. There was plenty of space and parking on the day and those who came along were very pleased with the set up and organisation of everything - 'lots of great quality bits to buy' was one comment.

We had 50 volunteers to help set up, assist during the sale and clear up afterwards. We hope they snapped up lots of bargains during the pre-sale shop - a major perk of being a volunteer! Please register early for the next sale in April if you didn't get to take part this time.

Over 350 people attended the sale on the day, which was an amazing reponse and proved that the NCT Nearly New Sale is indeed a great asset to the community of expectant parents and those already with a family. It's a place to buy top-quality clothing, toys, books and nursery equipment.

The event raised a total of £2764 for the NCT whilst providing a much needed service to local parents and we can't wait to do it all again!
