Bumblebees Toddler Group / Babybees
Bumblebees Toddler Group is an informal and social play group for parents, carers and their preschoolers. We meet every Wednesday 9.45am - 11.15am (term time) at Knaphill Methodist Church, The Broadway, GU21 2DR.
Lots of toys, crafts, play-dough, song time and a break for refreshments. £2 donation per family attending.
For babies under 6 months old, we have a separate room from the main Bumblebees Toddler Group. Babybees offers a quieter area to meet other parents and have a chat over a cup of tea or coffee. £1 donation to cover costs.
NCT members and non-members welcome.
Bumblebees Toddler Group and Babybees Baby Group national winners in the 'Most Outstanding Baby & Toddler Group' category in the 'What's on 4 2011 Junior Awards'.
The prestigious national 'What's On 4 Junior 2011' Awards took place on June 9 2011 at the Hilton Cobham Hotel in Surrey and The Bumblebees Toddler Group and BabyBees Baby Group were revealed as a national winner! The awards, in association with Konfidence and supported once again by Prima Baby & Pregnancy Magazine, are now in their fifth year and celebrate the best activities, classes and party providers from all over the UK, as nominated and voted for by the experts - PARENTS! Bumblebees and BabyBees from Knaphill achieved national acclaim in the Most Outstanding Baby and Toddler Group category meaning that they have been recognised as one of the very best by the UK's parents.
This year, the awards were bigger than ever, covering 18 different categories ranging from 'Best Pre/Post Natal Activity' to the'Most Outstanding Community Group Volunteer for children' and 'Best Uniformed Group'. Over 32,000 votes in total were made - nearly 6,000 more than last year!
Lindsey Jones, one of the volunteers who comes each week to Bumblebees said, “Our playgroup has been gone from strength to strength in the last 2 years and it is a great honour for all of us to be recognised and given this award. Our small team of hard-working mums really strive to reach out to new parents and babies in the local Knaphill area and the continued support from those attending and the knowledge that we are providing a welcoming place for parents/carers and their children to meet and socialise gives us a real sense of community."
Every children's activity, group, community volunteer and party supplier in the UK had the chance to be nominated, thus ensuring the awards were a true representation of the desire and committment UK parents have to celebrating and rewarding the very best providers - those who make such a difference to their children's lives!
