Why I love NNS?

Leicester NCT Branch runs a full selection Nearly New Sales twice a year. I have been to three now and am very passionate about these events. Individuals sell their used baby and toddler items and members of the public can browse and buy.

I have bought some fantastic bargains at the sales I’ve attended, including some gorgeous clothing for my daughter, brilliant toys and even a bike seat, all at very low prices. Two of my best bargains were a pop-up play tunnel and Elefun the Elephant Game, both of which my children adore. These cost me £2 each. They have entertained my kids for hours and get them thoroughly over-excited!

I have sold old items at two recent sales, made between £80 and £90 each time and cleared some much needed space in my house (now filled with all the things I’ve gone on to buy at the sales!). It’s always an emotional time when I pack up tiny vests and sleep suits that my two have outgrown but I like the idea of them being used again, particularly as they are usually hardly worn.

There is a massive variety of items - from clothes, shoes, dress-up costumes, toys, Lego and baby walkers to dolls houses, baby baths, carriers, sleeping bags, pushchairs, highchairs and lots more. I only wish I had discovered these events when I was pregnant with my son. It’s good for the environment too!

How to sell: If you want to sell at a Nearly New Sale, it will cost you £2.50 per seller pack. We do have a maximum number of sellers and fill up fast so don’t leave it to the last minute! If you cannot register any more for the upcoming sale, you can always register for the next one. We will send you a pack of labels for your items and you will need to label what you are selling and drop it off on the morning of the sale. To register for a sale, please complete and return the seller registration form from below to Amanda.

Next sale date: Saturday March 24, 2012

This sale is now full but you can already register as a seller for the autumn sales. The normal full sale will take place on September 29 and the toy and equipment sale on November 17. Just send your filled registration form to Amanda.
