CAN YOU HELP AT OUR NEARLY NEW SALES?

We are looking for some new volunteers to help run our fantastic nearly new sales! The nearly new sales are an essential part of the branch's work, providing parents with an opportunity to buy and sell their secondhand baby goods and save money. It is also one of the largest fundraisers for the branch. Don't forget, all volunteers get to shop in advance of the doors opening to the public!

We urgently need help with the following:

NNS Coordinator
We urgently need a NNS coordinator. The Coordinator leads the team and plans the sales in advance - a full role description is available. We have a sale on 29th October so this would be an ideal opportunity to be 'shown the ropes'. This is a lively and satisfying role for someone who likes a challenge! There's plenty of ideas available from other branches, and you would be well supported by the NNS team. NNS Team 
Our NNS team would like some new members! The team supports the Coordinator, helps with pre-sale organisation, and helps on the day of the sales. The team are all very friendly, and the sales themselves are lively and fun! Volunteers get to shop in advance of the public so its definitely worth it if you like to get a bargain! Cake Bakers
We also really welcome donations of cakes, biscuits and snacks for our cafe. Just bring them along on the morning of the sale. This is not only a good fundraiser, but an essential part of shopping at the NCT sale is to sit down with tea and cake afterwards! Find out more here

Transport
We need to get the clothing rails from storage in Charlton, to the sale venue in Crofton Park - does anyone has a van or large car and would be willing to help us transport them on the morning of the sale?

Notice to businesses or others wishing to advertise: There are various ways we can help promote your business at our Nearly New Sales, including distributing fliers in carrier bags or posters. For more information on advertising, click here 

Information For Buyers:

• Doors will open at 10.45am for NCT members with a valid membership card. You can join NCT here. If you membership card hasn't arrived, a membership letter will be sufficient. 
• Doors will open at 11am for everyone else.
• Entrance fee is £1 per person.The hall gets very crowded - we recommend leaving buggies outside if possible. This is a good time to use a baby sling or carrier!
• Large Ikea bags are available to hire at the entrance with a £1 deposit refundable at the till.
• Carrier bags are free, or NCT Reusable shopping bags are £1. These are available at the tills.
• Payment is by cash, cheque, and for the first time we will have one Chip & Pin till available (50p per transaction. We recommend ensuring you have enough cash, or a chequebook.
• There are toilets and babychanging facilities available.
• There will be a cafe area with drinks and cakes.
