We are lucky to have a number of supportive organisations in our area, who you can ask for help on a variety of issues such as breastfeeding, children's activities and returning to work.

BOSOM - Breastfeeding ourselves, supporting other mums
Our local breastfeeding support group run Le Cafe Bebe every Monday 12 - 2pm at the Corner House Children's Centre, George Lane Car Park, Marlborough. Contact Vicky: 01672 512 302

Breastfeeding support group, Pewsey

Run by the Children’s Centre in Pewsey and supported by the NCT, this is a drop-in session for mums with babies up to 9 months or walking. It takes place every Thursday from 10.30 – 11.30am in the Tennis Club behind the Co-op. Come along and meet other new mums and learn more about local services and facilities for new parents. ask "advice on services for kids"
ask is an information service for Wiltshire parents with pre-school children. It provides a number of great services including advice on approved childminders and where to find a toddler group. They also offer support to those with special needs. Call them on 08457 585072
Home-Start
Home-Start is aimed at helping parents through difficult times, whether you are parenting for the first time or learning to cope with a growing family. If you are a family with at least one child under five, you can ask for help. Contact the scheme directly on 01672 515686
Rural Needs Initiative - Sure Start Children's Centre
This centre supports young local families by offering help, advice and guides to what is going on in our local area. The Children's Centre is located at The Corner House in George Lane Car park, Marlborough.

It provides:

•informal support for parents, carers and childminders
•easy access to child and family health services
•drop-ins such as "Stay and Play together"
•signposting to other sevrvices provided in the area
•links with training and job opportunities
•family support and outreach services
•family learning
•speech and language development
•information about the NCT.
