Get Involved

The Milton Keynes branch of NCT is currently looking for enthusiastic people to join its team of volunteers. The NCT is the UK’s leading charity on pregnancy, birth and early parenthood – helping parents all the way from bump to baby and beyond.

Team roles are varied, interesting and fun – you can use different skills and there’s something for everyone, even if you only have a small amount of time to offer. Support is always given by the team – you’ll get a sense of pride and achievement for your efforts, make new friends and have some useful experience to add to your CV too.

All our members are of great value to the branch. Whether you want to take a back seat or get more actively involved, just being a member keeps our branch alive! Current opportunties involve:

  • Magazine editor and Assitant Editor for the branch magazine
  • Bumps and Babes, we need help setting up, welcoming mums and making tea, then tidying up
  • Helpers for the Nearly New Sales (NNS)
  • Fundraising Co-ordinator
  • Social Diary Co-ordinator

Here’s a few good reasons for becoming an NCT Volunteer:

  • You’ll be using your time and skills to help the NCT charity reach even more parents
  • You’ll have opportunities to network and meet new and interesting people
  • You’ll have fun
  • You’ll be helping make things better for families in the future
  • You’ll be giving something back to the NCT
  • You’ll be able to benefit from NCT training and develop new skills
  • You’ll be helping raise vital funds for a charity that wants all parents to have a better experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.

If you support the NCT and want to make a difference for local parents, why not think about volunteering for the NCT? You can get involved in as much or as little as you like, depending on the time you have available and it’s a great way to meet other parents in Milton Keynes.
