Newbury & District NCT reaches everyone in West Berkshire from Hungerford and Lambourn in the west, to the borders of Reading in the east, the Downlands villages in the north, the Cleres in the south and everywhere in between.

Run by local parents, your local Newbury and District Branch offers you support, information and friendship to new parents and parents-to-be.

COURSES:

We run NCT antenatal courses, which are a great way to find answers to all your questions about labour, birth, being a very new parent and looking after and feeding your new baby. The NCT has also teamed up with the British Red Cross to provide Baby First Aid courses which are now running in our area. Finally, Relax Stretch and Breathe, a yoga based pregnancy exercise class, is currently held in Hungerford.

SOCIAL GROUPS AND EVENTS:

We hold various regular social groups to match your stage in pregnancy or parenthood and we are also a regular presence at local family events. See our events map to see full details of all upcoming events. 

NEARLY NEW SALES:

Our Nearly New Sales are a great way to stock up on good quality toys, baby equipment and children's or maternity clothing at a fraction of the price of brand new items. Held every few months in Thatcham, they could save you hundreds of pounds!

SERVICES:

We provide a wide range of invaluable services such as pregnancy and birth, early days and shared experience helplines, as well as support by trained breastfeeding counsellors. You can also hire breast pumps, valley cushions and cake tins!

PUBLICATIONS:

We publish a 'Little Person's guide to West Berkshire', available from local stockists and if you are a member of the NCT you will receive the Member News magazine, which will keep you up-to-date with local family events and contains interesting articles on aspects of parenthood in the area.

VOLUNTEERING:

We currently have various vacancies for volunteers in our branch. If you have a few hours to spare and would like to make a difference in your local community check out our current vacancies.
