3) Babies and Beer:

What it is? An informal group where dads-to-be and new dads.

4) Social Events ("NCTea"):

Dates and time:

We meet at 10.30am on the following dates:

• May: Wednesday 9th and Friday 25th.
• June: Wednesday 13th and Friday 29th.
• July: Wednesday 11th and Friday 20th.

• The project is run by a paid coordinator who organises a team of volunteers to prepare and serve snacks and lunches at a good price. Anyone with a small child is welcome to drop in, meet friends, let children play, and buy refreshments.
• All are welcome between 10.30 and 2.00 every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during school term-time.
• We have plenty of space for the toys, book corner and climbing frame, and facilities for changing babies.
• We welcome mums who want to breast-feed, and we are happy to provide child-size portions of any item on the menu that can be down-sized!

5) Committee Meetings:

The Oxford NCT Committee is made up of a small group of volunteers.

Meeting details:

• Next meeting: 15th May
• We meet roughly every 4-6 weeks, either in central Oxford or members' homes.
• All NCT members are welcome to come along, hear what we do and get involved.

6) Coffee Groups:

The NCT currently runs two coffee groups in Oxford, but we are hoping to set up several more in the future.

Often held in people’s homes, these offer a chance to meet other new mothers/fathers and swap tips in a relaxed setting:

7) Home Birth Support Group:

A friendly group meeting monthly. All involved in home birth locally are very welcome - including midwives and doulas, for example, as well as those who have had home births or who are considering having one.

Possibility of loan of pool, plus relevant local information available.

8) First Aid Courses:

We are hoping to run one or two first aid courses, in collaboration with the British Red Cross.

From time to time, Oxford NCT holds talks in conjuction with external providers on a range of topics.
