Breastfeeding Support
The National Childbirth Trust has over 400 breastfeeding counsellors. Their services are provided free to anyone and you can reach a counsellor by calling our breastfeeding line on 0300 33 00 771 or our own branch counsellors, Sue on 01730 893511 and Sarah on 01730 713211. The most common reasons that women give when they stop breastfeeding are sore nipples and the feeling that there is not enough milk. These, and other problems can often be overcome by simple things such as changing the position of the baby at the breast, and it can be really helpful to get some support. The following resources should help to provide you with just that support. Some are through the NCT, some are through the NHS and SureStart Children's Centres, while others are external resources. A NCT breastfeeding counsellor is usually in attendance at the Baby Talk group on Wednesday at the United reform Church in Liss and Thursday mornings at the United reform Church in Petersfield.
