Nearly New Sale success in wild weather 

Despite the rain and gales there were hundreds of bargain hunters at the April 2012 Nearly New Sale at the Benn Hall. The sale was a fantastic success with a huge range of baby equipment, toys and games.

Keen shoppers left with highchairs,cots, pushchairs, clothes, books, puzzles and toys. Dreaming of sunnier weather slides, sand pits, bikes and scooters were prized items. For the journey home childrens' wellies and macs were popular. 

The next sale is on Sunday 14th October 2012 - see you there! 

2012 Latest great news!

NCT Rugby has been awarded "Gold Standard" for our Nearly New Sales! This means we:

• have raised a significant amount of money from Nearly New Sales in the last financial year (10/11) in relation to the size of our branch
• have achieved a cost to income ratio of 1:3
• reach at least 600 parents over the yearinvolve at least 40 volunteers through the year
• demonstrate high standards of service to customers and to sellers
• have a wide variety of different products for customers at each sale
• are committed to recycling, saving tonnes of children's clothing and toys from landfill

May 2011: Happy Bargain Hunters at May Nearly New Sale

The spring Nearly New Sale on 8th May was a great success! Thanks to everyone who helped, bought and sold at the sale - we couldn't have done it without you!

Over 400 parents from all over the Rugby area snapped up fantastic bargains at the Benn Hall on 8th May and raised over £2500 for the charity.

Customers started queuing well over an hour before doors opened to be the first to get their hands on the thousands of pre-loved children’s and baby’s toys, clothes, prams and other equipment for a fraction of high-street prices.

Sale-organiser Emma Dredge is delighted with the success of the sale: “The Nearly New Sale is the biggest fundraising event for our local NCT branch, and we are thrilled to have raised over £2,500 for our charity. The money will go towards providing valuable services, classes, counselling, information and support to expectant and new parents. Like all local NCT activities, the sale was organised and run entirely by volunteers, and we would like to thank everyone who gave up their time to make it such a success.”

The next Nearly New Sale will take place at the Benn Hall on 9th October 2011.

Nov 2010: Great Turnout at Nearly New Toy Sale

The Nearly New Toy Sale was held on the 28th November in Dunchurch and despite the bitter weather crowds turned out for bargain toys, games and books. Thanks to everyone who helped make the sale a great success!

Nov 2010: Annual Members' Meeting - New Chair!

This year's annual members' meeting was held on Tuesday 9th November. The exciting news is that we now have a new Branch Co-ordinator (Chair) - Nicola Elward-Hopkin who will be brilliant in this role.
