Your Branch Needs You!

We currently have plenty of oppor-tunities for you to get involved in your NCT branch. Here are a selection of roles, but if you have any particular skills or interests to offer that don’t fit these particular descriptions, please let us know what you can do!

After 8s Coordinators
The original idea for After 8s nights was to enable mums to stay in touch with each other after returning to work. However, they have since developed to become much deserved nights-out and get-togethers for mums! Previous nights have included meals and drinks out, trips to the theatre, a pamper eve-ning or simply a get-together at some-one‘s home. We are looking for two or more volunteers to organise nights out in Congleton and Sandbach.

Fundraising Co-ordinator
Each NCT branch is self-funding and contributes to the activities of the na-tional charity. Fundraising is therefore vital! We are looking for a volunteer or volunteers to develop and co-ordinate fundraising activities for the branch.

Nearly New Sale (NNS) Co-ordinator
NCT is well known for its Nearly New Sales; the opportunity to pick up good quality, nearly new baby and toddler gear at a fraction of the price to buy new. A percentage of all items sold goes to our local NCT branch. We are looking for a volunteer (or volunteers) to co-ordinate Nearly New Sales in South Cheshire.

Branch Co-ordinator
If you are a good team builder this role may be for you! Working with the branch secretary you will draw up meeting agendas, chair branch meet-ings and be the main point of contact with the NCT‘s head office.

Branch Secretary
Working closely with the branch co-ordinator, you will write up agendas and minutes of the branch meetings and distribute them accordingly.

Egroup and Website Co-ordinator
Main tasks are approving people
wanting to join, welcoming new mem-bers when they join and adding events to the ebook and website calendars. The amount of time involved does de-pend on what the branch has going on, but volunteers can usually expect to commit a couple of hours a week.
