Free / Little Effort

If you use the internet for shopping you can use our easyfundraising site to get us money without costing you a penny.

If you search for things on the internet you can use easysearch - you surf as usual but we get a donation.

Slightly More Work

Guess the Name of the Baby Competition

You could have a "guess the name of the baby" competition - make a list of 100 names (either 50 of each or 100 of one if you know the flavour) and get family, friends, neighbours and workmates to choose a name and make a minimum £1 donation - if you give a £20 prize you will have made £80 for our branch!

Cake Sale or Raffle

Could you organise a cake sale or a raffle at work or your child's nursery - raising the branch some funds and promoting the charity at the same time. We can provide you with leaflets, collecting tin and other support.

Collecting Tins

Do you have a local shop, are you the landlord of a local pub, or do you manage a soft play centre in our area? If so would you be happy to have an NCT collecting tin near your till? We can provide the tin, information leaflets and arrange for it to be emptied regularly.

Help at Our Events

Our events all raise us valuable funds for the branch and the wider charity. The more people we have to help the easier it is for everyone. Can you design publiciy, put up posters, distribute fliers, coordinate bookings, serve refreshments, lead a craft table, sell raffle tickets / manage a tombola - if so please email fundsnctsoutham@googlemail.com

Fundrasing Coordinator

Branch fundraising is a hugely valuable role - by raising money for the NCT you are helping your branch to reach hundreds or even thousands of parents locally, and helping the charity as a whole to support over a million parents every year.

The Fundraising Coordinator:

• helps the branch to raise as much money as possible for local NCT services to parents and the wider work of the charity
• is a positive, motivational organiser and delegator
• has an overview of all the branch’s income, from grants, events and commercial support, working closely with the treasurer

Advertising Coordinator

Advertising and sponsorship raise essential funds for the NCT and help ensure that your branch publications and services to parents can happen. 

The Advertising Coordinator:

• makes sure the branch gets the most out of support from companies
• helps branch publications and activities to pay for themselves via advertising and sponsorship

The Advertising Co-ordinator plays a key role in funding branch services for local parents and parents-to-be. Being the Advertising Co-ordinator may be hard work and challenging at times, but always interesting and worthwhile.

Grant Fundraising Coordinator

The Grant Fundraising Coordinator:

• works across the branch to help plan and fund valuable support and projects for local parents and parents-to-be
• researches potential funding bodies for projects
• writes, or assists others to write, applications for grant funding

This immensely valuable role gets lots of support from the UK Office Fundraising Team – successful applications bring in considerable sums of money to assist the charity in its work for parents, so you will know you are really helping others.
