Breastfeeding Support
Spelthorne Baby Café - Thursdays from 12:30pm - 2pm
Spelthorne Baby Café supports breastfeeding mums to breastfeed as long as they want to, whether this be 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 years. It is an informal meeting place where breastfeeding mums can socialise and get support from breastfeeding experts if they need it.
Partners, friends and family are equally welcome. On hand are an NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor, a Health Visitor and a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter (another mum who has breastfed and had some training around breastfeeding).
Pregnant women are also invited along to ask any questions, or to chat to breastfeeding mums and find out what it's really like. Why not come along with your antenatal class?
What is available?
• Tea, coffee, juice, cake and biscuits (all free!)
• Books on breastfeeding and parenting for loan
• Private room for individual consultations
• Plenty of leaflets and information sheets covering a huge range of topics around breastfeeding
Baby Café takes place every Thursday between 12.30pm and 2pm at Clarendon Children's Centre, Ashford. Although there is no parking at the Centre itself as it is part of Clarendon School, there is limited free parking along Village Way nearby, as well as pay and display parking near the little Tesco off the high street. Clarendon Children's Centre is behind Peter Doble on Ashford High Street, about 5 minutes' walk from the train station.
