If you would like to chat this position through further then please get in touch, one of the team can chat to you if you would like more information. We are also looking for more team members to help with the planning and preparation for the sales; we also always need an army of volunteers on the day and to prepare for the sale so if you would like to help then please get in touch.

Events Coordinator
Coordinates all aspects of running a fundraising event, from managing the volunteers to organising the logistical set up of the event, such as the Summer Fun Day or Breastfeeding Awareness Week.

NEW Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator
This role hasn't been done before, so whoever takes this on can make it their own. The role will help support the branch through focusing on involving new members (and non-members) in any of our volunteering opportunities.

Branch General Volunteers
We always appreciate volunteers to support various events throughout the year on an adhoc basis.

No matter what your interests are I’m sure we’ll find a good role for you. If you are interested in volunteering please send an email to: sae.nct@hotmail.co.uk and someone from the branch will be in contact with you shortly.

Want to help new Mums to breastfeed?

Why not train to become a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter?

If you have breastfed your baby, you will know that breastfeeding isn't always easy. New mothers often need lots of support. It can help to get tips and support from another mother with experience of breastfeeding - she understands what is involved and why breastfeeding is important.

Surrey Nurturing Links, a small local charity, is setting up Breastfeeding Peer Support Projects in the Woking and Spelthorne areas in partnership with NHS Surrey.

Breastfeeding Peer Supporters are mums who have breastfed for at least 3 months and who have had training so that they can support other mothers with breastfeeding.

There will be two free training courses run by the NCT available later this year, and each course will take place over 8 weeks for 2 hours/week. Childcare and expenses will be covered. If you are interested in training as a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and helping local mums, then please contact:

Julie Kenward, Project Co-ordinator via email, phone her on 01483 225596
