Bra fitting
During pregnancy you expect your breast to change shape, the biggest increase being within the first three to four months. Whatever your shape or size you need to have a good bra, fitted properly by a trained bra fitter. A fitted maternity bra from the NCT can help to: Reduce stretch marks Help prevent ligaments from being stretched Help prevent your breasts from stretching which may cause saggy boobs Support the changing breasts Support the expanding rib cage Prepare you for feeding your new baby The NCT recommends you are fitted for a maternity bra from around 36 weeks, by this time your ribcage will have expanded by 1”-2”/1-5cm. Within a few weeks of giving birth your ribcage returns to normal proportions and the NCT bra extension pieces will help with these changes. NCT bras have the largest size range from 30B to 44K. The bras are lined in 100% cotton and are especially designed to retain their shape. Their design enables women to breastfeed their children with discretion and comfort allowing optimum enjoyment for both Mum and baby. The NCT bra fitting service is available in North Wiltshire. Please contact the Swindon NCT on 0844 243 6292 or brafitting@swindonnct.org.uk. We look forward to your call.
