Prepare for having your baby and then get your body back into shape.

Antenatal Exercise Exercise during pregnancy is recommended by most health professionals. It is known to reduce the occurrence of backache cramp stiffness and insomnia. In general it leads to an easier labour and faster postnatal recovery. It can also be effective in combating post natal depression. Our antenatal exercises are specifically tailored to each client’s antenatal requirements to ensure a safe and effective programme. We work with midwives to provide the optimum exercises. 

Postnatal Exercise Exercise after giving birth will strengthen weak abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, encouraging the body to return to pre-pregnancy state. You can start an exercise programme as soon as your GP or midwife gives you clearance, usually at 6 weeks.

The Studio specialises in Back Care and Posture. We use expertise from a number of techniques to provide a unique service which often delivers long term relief from aches and pains throughout the body. This knowledge is integrated into our Pilates classes to maximise the benefits. In addition we offer 1 to 1 treatments that address your particular physical problems and will provide considerably faster and more comprehensive benefits than classes. Specifically we are qualified in bio-mechanics and postural assessment which when applied together can show improvement after just one session. A 1 to 1 session will provide a personalised exercise program that, if followed, can deliver on-going pain relief. The Studio is affiliated to the Back Care Charity and follows the NICE guidelines.
