New Workshop: Introducing Solids

Running in September and December, we're starting a new workshop on Introducing Solids.  This is a personalised small group workshop givingparents an opportunity to discuss information on weaning your baby onto solids.  Availability is very limited, see our Courses page for further details - you may need to scroll down as courses are listed by date.

New Class: Baby First Aid

Our next Annual Members' Meeting will be held on Wednesday 23rd May, in line with NCT's change in financial year:

Help wanted!

We're a vibrant branch but we're currently struggling for volunteers for all our social and fundraising events.  If you'd like to help out in some way, or have an idea for an event you'd like to run, please contact one of our volunteers.

Courses

We run Antenatal courses, antenatal Refresher courses, postnatal Early Days courses, and NEW Introducing Solids workshop.  Please contact 0844 243 6912 or bookings4q@nct.org.uk for more information and to book.

Relax Stretch Breathe is a yoga-based exercise class for pregnant women from 12 weeks of pregnancy. Classes are held weekly during term-time at Winchester Discovery Centre. Please contact Vicky for more information on 01962 888598 or email vickyrodd1@aol.com.

Services

Breastfeeding support is one of the most vital services for new parents. In Winchester we are lucky to have three qualified breastfeeding counsellors available to support parents. You can reach them over the phone, via email or in person at B.A.B.I.E.S. breastfeeding support.

Our other services include a Nappy Library, Breastpump hire, and Valley Cushion hire.

Social Groups & Events

There are lots of different types of social groups for all types of parent: including Bumps & Babies, Home Birth & Working Mothers.

Nearly New Sales

Run twice-yearly in Spring and Autumn, our Nearly New Sales are a great opportunity to offload some of the clothes, toys equipment, etc that you won't need again, as well as a chance to stock up on items for your children to grow into.

Keeping in Touch

As well as our website, we publish a quarterly newsletter, The Stork, which is sent to all local members. We email a monthly enews bulletin to local mums, have a page on Facebook, and you can also follow us on Twitter.

Shop to support NCT Winchester with easyfundraising

Do you want to support NCT Winchester, but don't have enough time to volunteer? By using easyfundraising you can help us raise funds for NCT's work locally and nationally every time you shop online. Locally we provide breastfeeding support to new mothers (BABIES), run a weekly Bumps and Babies coffee morning group for new parents, and make valley cushions available to women who experience postnatal discomfort.
