Breastfeeding Support
Breastfeeding Counselling Service
As well as the National Breastfeeding Helpline, our three local breastfeeding counsellors are available for support and advice. All have breastfed their own babies and are trained to help mothers establish and continue breastfeeding. They are flexible in their attitude to infant feeding, and are positive and supportive of the feeding choices a mother may make.
The counsellors can either be seen at B.A.B.I.E.S (Babies And Breastfeeding, Information, Encouragement, Support) group on Wednesday mornings, from 9.30am until midday at Lanterns Children’s Centre, Bereweeke Road, Winchester (no appointment needed, just turn up). In bad weather please telephone Lanterns (01962 860393) to check we are there before making the journey.
Jennie, Jane & Jenny are available via email on bfcounsellors@winchester-nct.org.uk. They can also be reached by phone - please leave a message if they're not able to answer.
| Jennie | 07502 213811 |
| Jane | 07824 375871 |
| Jenny | 01962 881367 |
Our counsellors are fully trained and updated. They are not medically qualified, so please take any medical questions to your health professional.
