We provide a support network to you as parents or parents-to-be to help you through pregnancy, early parenthood and to help you get the most out of your new roles. For some people, that support may be contacting a breastfeeding counsellor, attending our very popular ante-natal classes or events for parents-to-be. For others it may be meeting new parents at coffee mornings throughout the branch area and finding out about child-friendly places in York, attending branch-wide events like our Gold Standard Nearly New Sales, or going on a social night out. The York branch provides all these things.

Our branch is run by volunteers and extends across York and surrounding areas including Tadcaster, Market Weighton, Ryedale and Scarborough (LS24, YO1, YO10-14, YO17, YO19, YO23-24, YO26, YO30-32, YO41-43 and YO60).

• The next NCT/Red Cross Baby & Child Emergency First Aid courses have been booked for Thursday 24th May 2012: one at 3-5pm and another 7-9pm, at St Luke's church Hall, Burton Stone Lane. To book a place, or for more info on costs, etc, please contact Dawn on firstaid@yorknct.org.uk (also to register interest for a future course if you can't make this one).
• One of our members is looking to set up a playgroup for Italian-speaking children with the aim to help bilingual children to develop and practice their Italian language by regularly mixing with other Italian-speaking children and parents.This is not an NCT group but if you are interested, email: italianplaygroup@talktalk.net

• Our Bumps and Babes are drop in sessions and are held at St Edward the Confessors Church Hall (Tadcaster Road, Dringhouses) most Tuesdays between 10.30am -12pm.
