How to give us feedback on your course

At the end of your NCT course you will be sent an email asking you to take part in an online feedback survey, if you gave an email address when you booked.

NCT aims to obtain feedback from all parents who attend NCT antenatal and postnatal courses across the UK. With your help we want to find out how well the courses meet the needs of parents-to-be and new parents.

What would I have to do?

Shortly after your course has finished, you will receive an email with a link to the survey. There are 30 questions in this survey and it should take 5 minutes to complete. If you do not complete the survey you will be sent up to two reminder emails.

Do I have to take part?

No. Taking part is voluntary but your views would be much appreciated.

Anonymity and confidentiality of personal information

Your personal details and data supplied on the questionnaire will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Personal contact details will be held by and available to the principal researchers only.

Your feedback will be linked to records that we have about your course via your email address, which will be removed from the survey database before any analysis is carried out. Your responses will be treated in complete confidence. All feedback will be analysed as a group and only the anonymous grouped results will be reported to individual practitioners, to inform their continuing professional development.

How will the data be used?

Results from this survey of NCT service users may be published on the NCT website, used in educational and training materials, or used to raise awareness about parents’ experiences and to improve rights and services for parents. Our most recent report on what parents say about our antenatal courses was 'Preparing for birth and parenthood'.

I want to take part, but I have not received an email, what do I do?

Depending on when your course finishes, your email should arrive within one month. If you do not receive an email please email coursesfeedback@nct.org.uk.

Comments and complaints

We cannot respond individually to any comments included on the questionnaire. If you would like to receive a reply to your comments or make a complaint, email ceo@nct.org.uk or phone: 020 8752 2421.
