Get Involved

Volunteers, parents and expectant parents just like you, run our branch.  There are many reasons to become a volunteer for the NCT:

  • Being an NCT volunteer is fun
  • Volunteering will give you the opportunity to network and meet new, interesting people... making new friends
  • Use your existing skills to benefit the work of the NCT
  • Your contribution as a volunteer will make things better for families in the future
  • Being a volunteer gives you the opportunity to give something back to the NCT
  • Being a volunteer will give you the opportunity to benefit from NCT training and develop new skills
  • Become a volunteer because we need you and the unique skills that you can bring to a charity that helps all parents have a better experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood
  • And finally but not least represent the NCT

You don’t need to take on huge tasks, just commit whatever time you can or your previous experience and skills. 

YOU can help the Amber Valley branch of the National Childbirth Trust in many ways:

  • Perhaps you would like to join the committee
  • Or help us with the extra services we offer such as hiring Breast Pumps and selling Nursing Bras?
  • Or offer to go on the rota to help run our Baby and Toddler or Bumps & Babes group?
  • Or help us distribute our newsletter to our members and our posters and flyers to places nearby where you live?

We often have Committee Posts which require to be filled and welcome any help with open arms... Please get in touch and get involved!
