Welcome to the Andover & District branch of the NCT

Run by local parents for local parents, we offer friendship, information and informal support to parents-to-be, new parents and families with small children living in the Andover, Tidworth and Ludgershall area.

Whether you are having the time of your life, or are finding life difficult with a new baby or small child, Andover & District NCT has something to to offer you, including:

• Small and friendly antenatal classes
• Breastfeeding support
• Gentle yoga based exercise, relaxation and breathing for pregnancy classes
• 'Bumps and Babies' coffee groups for mums-to-be, new mums and babies.
• Parent and toddler coffee groups for parents/carers and young children up to pre-school age.
• A regular programme of fundraising and social events for the whole family
• NCT Nearly New Sales.
• NCT bra fitting and sales service

Our coffee groups and fundraising and social events are a great way of making friends with other parents / carers with babies and young children living in your local area and having a great time!

You do not have to be a NCT member to come along to any of our coffee groups or to take part in any of our branch fundraising or social events. However by joining, you make a big difference to the NCT Charity, enabling them to continue to reach out and provide information, advice and support to parents-to-be, new parents and families with young children, and continue its campaigning work to improve maternity care and ensure better services and facilities for all new parents in the UK.

NCT Antenatal Refresher Courses - New in Andover for second and subsequent time parents

Our antenatal refresher courses will run throughout the year and will give you a chance to:

• Discuss your past birth experiences

• Consider your wishes for this pregnancy and birth

• Update yourself with breathing and relaxation techniques

• Look at ways of integrating your new baby into your family and sibling rivalry

• Meet other mums in the same situation

The courses will run on Tuesday mornings at 'The Bridge', Bridge Street in Andover and the schedule is:

January - 12th, 19^th, 26^th  for babies due from Mid Feb to early April 2010

March - 9^th, 16^th, 23^rd for babies due from Mid April to early June 2010

May - 11th, 18^th, 25th for babies due from Mid June to End August 2010

 

The price of the refresher course is £51.

Please note that our branch is run by a handful of parents, all of whom are volunteers. The majority of us are juggling full or part-time work with small children, so are not able to return your telephone calls, or answer your email enquiries immediately, so please be patient with us!
