NEARLY NEW SALE TEAM
Moira - Saturday 4th October 2008 , We would like to say "Thankyou "to everyone for giving their time and helping with the nearly new sale this weekend. Without people like
yourself these sales would be not be such a great success, and probably be unable to continue. It was great for me to meet so many new people.
The next sale is in Burton-on-Trent on Sat 28th Feb, and the next Moira sale is booked for the 9th of May. If you would like to volunteer for either/ both of these, please would you let me know.
The sale was a big success and raised over £1200 for the charity.
A huge great big thank you to Faye and Jo for organising the Nearly New Sale at Moira Village Hall on 10th May 2008 and to everyone who gave their time to help both on the day and beforehand.
The sale was a huge success and raised in excess of £1500 for the charity.
CHEEKY MONKEY TEA PARTY
Many thanks to all those who helped out at our Cheeky Monkey Tea Party on July 12th, lots of fun was had by everyone. All visitors entered the hall through our "jungle gazebo" and the jungle theme carried on throughout the hall with lots of monkeys everywhere and some informative posters about monkeys kindly supplied by Twycross Zoo. There were some beautiful & colourful monkey masks made by the children and lots of lucky winners on the tombola stall and lucky dip stalls. The children enjoyed a monkey dance at the monkey parade.
HALLOWEEN PARTY
Sunday 1st November was the date of our branches first fancy dress Halloween party. The hall was decorated in orange and black, with creepy crawlies, and balloons dotted around the room. Around 35 childrens attended in fancy dress, and took part in the treasure hunt , spooky colouring competitions, and traditional party games. The afternoon was rounded off with an afternoon tea, and fancy dress parade. A big "Thankyou" to everyone that supported us on the day, and for all the generous donations that were made. We look forward to seeing you all at our next event.
If you have an idea for, or would like to be involved in the next "special event" please contact Helen on abcnctcoffee@googlemail.com
