Yoga-based exercise is an ideal form of exercise during the changes of pregnancy. It can boost your energy and refresh you - even when you feel tired. Spending time each week practising different positions and breathing means that during labour these positions should come to you more easily and naturally and your breathing is more likely to be efficient and instinctive. Ideal for any pregnant woman from 16 weeks (whether a first or subsequent baby) although, as it is only a 6 week course, most women will probably be in their final trimester as it is often easier to focus on the baby and labour at this time. This course will complement your antenatal course as it is mainly focussed on gentle exercise, positions, relaxation and breathing for labour rather than involving lots of information-giving and discussion.
