2nd June 2008  - More volunteers please

Dear Eastleigh Branch NCT Members

Our branch offers many wonderful services to local mums, dads, babies and children. The branch itself is run by volunteers- we are all normal & friendly mums and dads just like you who give up a bit of time for charity.  It's that time when some commitee members are moving on to pastures new and we have some vacancies for new fresh people to join us- please do join us!   You will be warmly welcomed, you'll increase your social circle, have many laughs, learn more about your local area, and develop your existing skills - all good for your c.v. especially if you are taking a career break! The following posts take about 30 minutes - 2 hours per week to do and fits around having a young family:

Branch Membership Secretary - this is a key role and we need someone who can use email and has a home computer to step forward . It is not a huge role but is an important one.

Newsletter editor and newsletter advertising co-ordinator to join our brilliant sociable newsletter team

Nearly New Sale joint co-ordinator (we have one new person who would like to share this role) and a few more Nearly New Sale team members- to share all the organisation. Our Eastleigh sale runs twice a year, Mar and Sept and is very successful. SO essentially your busy times are twice a year for 6 weeks beforehand and 1-2 weeks afterwards, then it is quiet for a long while  until near next sale! We ar really looking for someone who likes organising things. The Eastleigh NNS already has a great structure, with guidelines on what to do when, we just need a friendly person to join the team to take over from where the outgoing co-ordinator steps out. She will shadow you in Sept 08 sale to help you get started.

Fund Raising Organiser- we have not had a fund raising organiser for many years and if you think you could drum up a few ideas to help bring in much needed funds to our branch and for the NCT, we would probably dance with joy!

 The commitee meets on the 3rd Monday of every month to update and support each other, and ensure that services are running smoothly.
