NCT Halstead & Sudbury is a powerful network of parents in North Essex and South-West Suffolk who could be your customers.

Halstead & Sudbury NCT is a particularly active branch of the charity and is able to reach a large number of potential customers. These are women who are pregnant or are parents of babies and young children, living in Halstead, Sudbury, Bures and surrounding villages. Our events attract new families from an even wider area, including Braintree, Colchester, Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds.

As well as running antenatal courses, we are a very active branch with a full agenda of members’ meetings, social events, 6 Nearly New Sales per year, First Aid evenings and an annual Tea Party, Christmas gathering and AGM. We run three weekly parent and baby/toddler groups throughout the year. We also publish a quarterly newsletter covering subjects of interest to local parents.

We campaign for better conditions and more parental choice through initiatives such as Breastfeeding Awareness Week, and by working with local health visitors and midwives.

All of this is run entirely by volunteers who want to help other parents to enjoy their birth and parenting experience and to continue the good work of the NCT.

Newsletter and Website advertising

Website

The NCT website is visited by over 80,000 different people each month, all of whom will be interested in products and services aimed at pregnant women, and at new families with babies and toddlers. Our branch's Local Services Directory contains listings of companies offering such products and services in our area. The web pages have the benefit of being fully accessible by parents and parents-to-be who may not yet be members.

Our directory listing includes your business name, address, telephone number, email, contact name (if required), web address and a brief description of your products/services.

Because we are unable to produce our newsletter without our advertisers, website advertising is – at present – only available in conjunction with newsletter advertising.

Newsletter

Our quarterly newsletter is sent out by mail to members in September, December, March and June of each year. Copies are also distributed to parents at our regular Baby & Toddler Groups, to prospective members, and to families who attend many of our events.

Advertising copy deadlines are the 10th of the month prior to publication (e.g.10 August etc.)

Our newsletter is an A5 production in black and white with full colour covers, and contains over 40 pages of news, reviews and vital information for parents, together with advertising from local companies, the majority of which buy advertising in a series of four issues for which they receive a loyalty discount on the rate card prices below.

Print run is 200 copies per quarter. Contact Clare for precise copy dates or to make a booking. To make a booking, we strongly advise that you make early contact as space is limited and is often booked in advance by regular advertisers.

Nearly New Sale Advertising

We run six Nearly New Sales each year: three in Sudbury/Long Melford and three in Halstead. These are always extremely popular with the local community of new and expectant parents, and attract about 150 people through the door each time.

We offer advertising at these sales in the the form of pre-printed flyers inserted into the bags given out to every customer at the rate of £15 per 150 copies.
