Advertising

The NCT is a charity that provides many essential local parent services, as well as campaigning for improved maternity services and the provision of parent-friendly initiatives. Profits from our fundraising events and newsletter are used to fund branch activities and services, so by advertising with us you would be making a significant and worthwhile contribution to our local community. We offer three types of advertising:

Newsletter

South Gloucestershire NCT branch produces a quarterly newsletter that is sent out to members, health visitors and midwives. It is also available throughout the area in libraries, health centres, community centres and shops, and hence is read by an extensive, receptive and targeted audience. Our readers are interested in any services and products that are relevant to their position as parents to babies and young children, or as healthcare professionals. Rates for advertising in our newsletter are extremely competitive:

Single Issue
Full Page (b/w) - £30
Half Page (b/w) - £20
Quarter Page (b/w) - £15
Full back cover (colour) - £40
Inserts (advertiser supplied) - £25
(Prices do not include VAT at 17.5%, which is also payable, and we can offer 4 for the price of 3 if one year’s worth of advertisements are booked together)

We can also offer full sponsorship of the newsletter, featuring high profile, front cover advertising space in colour.

Web Directory

We are pleased to now be able to offer advertising on our branch pages within the main NCT website, which attracts 75,000 unique visitors each month. This takes the form of a directory of local businesses, and you are invited to purchase a listing within this directory. This can include your business name, address, telephone number, email, contact name (if required), web address (with active link) and a 30-word description of your products/services.

Website advertising rates
We are currently offering all newsletter advertisers a free web directory entry, normally priced at £10+VAT per quarter over and above the usual newsletter advertising rates, provided the web space is booked at the same time as the newsletter advertising. Web advertising for those who do not advertise in the newsletter costs £15+VAT per quarter.

Nearly New Sales

Our branch holds regular fundraising Nearly New Sales, at which families are able to sell unwanted toys, clothing and baby equipment. These events are always extremely popular, and we can expect between 200-300 buyers at each sale. Each buyer is given an NCT carrier bag as they enter, inside which we place flyers that are provided to us by advertisers. As with the newsletter, this is a superb means of reaching a very targeted audience. See our Events page for details of the next sale. If you are interested in supplying flyers for bags we would be delighted to hear from you. The cost is £10. We recommend supplying 250 flyers, which we would need to receive at least one week before the event.
