Get Involved

Volunteers, parents and expectant parents just like you, run our branch. You don’t need to take on huge tasks, just commit whatever time you can or use your previous experience and skills. It is also a great way to learn new skills, make new friends, and represent the NCT. It can keep skills ticking over whilst you are away from work, or enable more to go on a CV, and can give you some adult conversation when you need it most.

We currently are looking for help in the following areas -

Helping to run Buggies & Bikes (Mondays) and Bumps & Babes (Fridays).

Our weekly morning groups need regular helpers to get them set up at the beginning, help out with the groups, and then clear up at the end.

Help publish our quarterly newsletter.

We have an editor, and someone to look after the advertising, but we urgently need someone who can get the newsletter ready for printing.

It is currently put together with Microsoft Publisher and is an A5 publication running to around 66 pages. It has a mixture of articles and adverts in a set format.

Nearly New Sale Team.

We always need more volunteers to help with our sales team - the more the merrier!

General Committee members.

Want to help but the idea of a "big" role is too much - come join us as a general member - we can always use an extra pair of hands!

We meet approx. every 6 weeks, and are a friendly chatty crowd - we spent as much time talking children as talking NCT matters over coffee and biscuits.
