Bumps and Babies
Bumps and Babies is for those with bumps and those with children under 5 in Winchester and the surrounding areas
When is it? Bumps and Babies normally runs every 3rd Monday of the month in the morning from 10 to 12 (excluding August). Check events page for more details.
Where is it? At the Salvation Army Hall, Parchment Street Winchester SO23 8AZ. Nearest parking is at St Peters car park in Gordon Road.
Who is it for? Anyone expecting a baby, new parents, parents with a new baby and older children. Those helping may have older children with them. Everyone with a pre-school age child is welcome although we have found that the majority of those who attend have babies under 12 months.
Do I have to be a member of the NCT? No, you do not. Bumps and Babies is open to all. We have NCT information available if you are interested in becoming a member.
What happens at Bumps and Babies? We have toys for babies and children under five, plenty of chairs for parents and carers, sometimes entertainment in the form of baby singing and, of course tea, coffee, and juice with plenty of time to chat.
What do I need to do? Come along and let your little one/s play while you have a chat and meet a few new people. We would just ask you to help us put the toys away at the end. We have a suggested donation of £1 to help cover costs.
How can you help out? Volunteers from the branch run Bumps and Babies each month and it would be great to be able to run the session on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Volunteering involves putting out the toys, welcoming people to the group, making refreshments and tidying away. You can help out as many times as you want - once every couple of months is fine. You can expect to be at Bumps and Babies from 9.30am to 12.15pm and, of course, bring your own children along. If you would like more information about the group or helping out please email enquiries@winchester-nct.org.uk We look forward to seeing you at Bumps and Babies as a parent or a volunteer.
