Nearly New Sale

NEARLY NEW SALE

Twice a year we hold a fundraising Nearly New Sale in Spring and Autumn.  The next one is scheduled for:

Saturday 1 November 2008

The Dining Hall, St Swithuns School (It is a great space for this event, all on one floor, accessible toilets and plenty of parking. Buses (numbers X64 and 67) also run from the town centre and drop off near the school. )

10.00am – 11.30am

Our biggest fundraisers for the branch are the Nearly New Sales, run every year in Spring and Autumn. They provide a great opportunity to buy and sell good quality second-hand kit - clothes, toys, maternity wear, high chairs, travel cots, stair gates and all manner of other equipment.

Selling at the Sale

There is some effort involved in selling as you have to label all your items for sale and drop them off at the nearest depot, but in return you will receive a cheque for 70% of the selling price for everything you have sold. You can also pat yourself on the back for not only being good to the environment (this is recycling at its’ most efficient!) but also for supporting the National Childbirth who receive the remaining 30% of the selling price.

During the sale we also have an advertisers board which you may use to place private adverts (A5 maximum please) to sell any items we aren’t allowed to sell through the sale, for a donation of £1 per advert.

Please note, you will need to contact your local depot in advance to arrange to drop off of your sale items (except large items).

Volunteer on the day

You do not have to be a member of the NCT to sell or buy at the sale or even to help out at the sale itself. We need approximately 50 people to volunteer on the day, so if you can help between 8.00am and 1.30pm on the day then please contact the team.  Thank you!
