Baby Friendly York Fair

Join us for this exciting event, focused on parents expecting a baby or with a recent new arrival.  Based in the wonderful atrium at the heart of Joseph Rowntree’s new buildings, information stands and traders will be showcasing all that is on offer in York and the surrounding area for parents with young children, whether this is their first baby or a new addition to their growing family.

 

Who will be here? Everyone from local midwives and the Fire and Rescue Service to financial advisers and specialist photographers. Parents and expectant parents will be able to access all the information they need in one place, from hiring a birthing pool or buying a personalised keep-sake to finding out about child-care options.  If it involves babies in and around York, we hope it will be here.

A Baby Friendly York booklet will be given to all visitors. Goody bags will be available for the first 200 parents through the door and there will be a café serving drinks and home-made cakes all day.  There will also be a free Competition Trail, with the chance to win some great prizes.

Alongside the exhibition, there will be a Nearly New Sale, offering visitors the chance to buy good condition used items at low prices for children up to 18 months. This will open at 2pm, an hour after the exhibition opens, and will close at 4pm.
