Breastfeeding Counsellor

If you are finding breastfeeding problematic, either physically or emotionally, then a breastfeeding counsellor may be able to help you.

A breastfeeding counsellor is someone who is experienced in breastfeeding and has had training to enable them to support and help new mothers to breastfeed. They can help with any difficulties you are having with feeding your baby, and can also listen to any worries and anxieties you may have about breastfeeding.

There are a number of organisations, including the NCT, through which you can contact a breastfeeding counsellor. See http://www.nct.org.uk/info-centre/helplines for details.
