Davina McCall
Davina McCall, TV presenter, is NCT’s home birth ambassador. Davina has had three home births.
Davina McCall, said:
"I was lucky enough to talk to a good friend when I was expecting my first baby. She talked about birth in such glowing terms that I thought how lovely it sounded so I decided home birth was right for me. My labour and births were very straightforward and really really amazing. Having choices is so important. Whatever your choice is, it's the right one for you.”
NCT is committed to ensuring that every woman can choose where to give birth. One of NCT's key campaigning objective is to make the choice of giving brith to your baby at home a reality.
Saira Khan
Saira Khan, star of the BBC’s Apprentice 2005, is NCT’s breastfeeding ambassador.
Saira Khan said:
“I am delighted to be NCT's breastfeeding ambassador. I am a great believer in breastfeeding and fed my little boy Zacariah for 6 months. It wasn't easy at first but I was determined to stick with it, I am so glad that I did because for me it has been so rewarding and fulfilling. I actually missed it when I stopped. I am promoting breastfeeding because I want other mothers to experience the joy and fulfilment that I did and to give it a go.”
James McQuillan
Apprentice runner up James McQuillan has helped NCT to reach many more dads as well as mums by contributing to an NCT DVD, 'Daddy Cool' aimed specifically at dads-to-be.
The DVD combines reliable information from NCT experts with interviews from James and other dads as they become parents and share their real-life experiences.
Cerrie Burnell
Actress and TV presenter Cerrie Burnell is NCT's newest celebrity supporter, and will be helping us to reach more parents and parents-to-be than ever as we launch our new strategy in 2011.
