Celebrating our volunteers

Nominations have now closed for the fifth annual NCT Stars Awards, sponsored by Pampers. The Awards recognise and celebrate the hard work and dedication of the volunteers who make the charity’s services available to parents and parents-to-be throughout the UK.

Regional winners will be announced in each UK region in Volunteer’s Week (1-7 June 2012) and national finalists will be invited to a special event at the House of Lords on 31 October 2012.

NCT has over 10,000 volunteers who give their time, energy and skills in more than 300 branches through a wide range of roles: providing support for parents, co-ordinating branch activities, fundraising, editing newsletters and much more.

NCT Volunteers have been nominated in the following categories:

• Most supportive volunteer – for NCT volunteers who have helped to create confident and informed parents in their local community

• Most innovative volunteer- for NCT volunteers who have used innovative methods to help support and inform parents in their local community

• User rep of the year – for NCT volunteers that have helped to achieve supportive services in their local area

• Parents’ champion of the year – for NCT Volunteers that have helped to promote positive perceptions of parenthood in their locality through work at a branch level

• Fundraising success of the year – for NCT Volunteers that have helped raise significant amounts for their local branch and/or the national NCT charity
