We are running weekly groups in Halton and St Helens. We are also currently recruiting volunteers.

If you are feeling low, anxious, disinterested in your usual activities and are pregnant or within two years of giving birth, then our friendly, welcoming support may be for you.
Our trained, female peer supporters can offer time and support through the Parents in Mind groups running in the local area. A welcome, friendly, safe space is available to meet others going through similar experiences, seek information, talk things through, or simply relax.
Babies and toddlers welcome.
Attendance is by referral and this can be done by you, or through a health professionals such as your midwife, health visitor, GP, family nurse.

We are looking for local women, aged 18+y, who have experienced mental health difficulties themselves in pregnancy and/or after the birth of their baby and who are now well enough to support others.
We provide free accredited training, full support and a great team to be a part of! Training starts at the end of September.

'Partners in Mind' pilot service in St Helens
Our Parents in Mind group in St Helens is expanding to provide guidance for parents who are supporting a partner with mental health issues.
NCT will train fathers and co-parents of mums struggling with their wellbeing. Those undertaking the training will themselves have lived experience of mental health difficulties during the antenatal period or in the first two years of their child's birth.
We’ll ensure they feel sufficiently well recovered, committed and passionate about facilitating vital provision to contribute towards better emotional wellbeing for the whole family.
