Juliet Mountford is to be NCT's Executive Director of Parent Services

NCT, the UK’s largest charity for parents, has appointed Juliet Mountford as Executive Director of Parent Services, a newly-created role responsible for developing and delivering support to new parents both face-to-face and digitally.

Juliet is currently Director for Innovation and Insight at British Red Cross, where she has led a £90m major change strategy involving 3,000 staff and 20,000 volunteers.

She has held a range of senior roles in the civil service, including as Director of Family and Parenting Policy at Number 10 Downing Street.

The appointment comes at a time when NCT has committed to increase its reach into less affluent neighbourhoods and expand the support it provides parents after birth.

Juliet said: “I’m honoured to be joining NCT at such an exciting time in the charity’s evolution and looking forward to building on the charity’s existing great work to offer more and better support to new parents in the crucial First 1,000 Days.”

NCT’s Chief Executive Nick Wilkie said: “We’re delighted to be able to make such an exceptionally strong appointment as we seek to expand the range and reach of our work supporting parents across the UK.”
